2023 AAC Scholarship Application

Two one-time scholarships in the amount of $500.00 will be awarded to two graduating seniors attending an Ascension Parish public high school. Applicants must enroll in an accredited college, university, or technical college in pursuit of a degree. Applications for the Spring 2023 scholarship must be postmarked by April 7, 2023. Upon review of the applications, qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule a interview. This interview is mandatory in order to proceed in the application process.

1. Applicants must be a graduating senior and have at least a 2.5 cumulative Grade Point Average on a 4.0
   scale in order to qualify for a scholarship award. Applicants are required to submit an official high
   school transcript in a sealed envelope from their high school counselor.
2. Applicants must attend an Ascension Parish public High School.
3. Applicants are required to submit two (2) recommendation forms in a sealed envelope. One must
   be from a teacher or school administrator, and the other can be from a community leader, pastor,
   mentor, etc. who can attest to the applicant’s leadership abilities, character, community involvement,
   academic promise, etc. References may NOT be related to the applicant.
4. Qualified applicants are required to participate in a interview. Business attire is required.
5. Parent/Guardian is required to sign a Scholarship Funds Disbursement Disclaimer.
6. Applicants are required to submit a typed essay.
7. Applicants cannot be the child of an Ascension Alumnae Member.
